Did you climb on board the refinance boom? Don't miss the train this time.

It seems like just about everyone refinanced in the past 3 years.  If someone refinanced in 2012 or previous, chances are they probably refinanced AGAIN in 2013 because - really - who would pass up an interest rate of under 4%?  They were record lows, and everyone kept saying, "we'll never see them come down this low again..."

For some of us, there was not enough equity in our homes, and to refinance at 80% LTV or less meant forking over large chunks of cash to bring the equity under 80% to make it workable.  Some people were still reeling from credit issues, short sales, foreclosures from the crash in 2007 and beyond.

It wasn't a perfect storm for everyone to be able to take advantage of the low rates.  But now, equity is on the rise, plus the rates have been coming down in the past several weeks.

If you didn't refinance in the last 9 months, for whatever reason, take a look at the possibilities again.  The equity may be in your property now.  Perhaps a credit snafu is now cleared up.  It's possible the value of your property has increased substantially to allow you to refinance under 80% LTV.

I love the first day of the new year.  It's full of possibility.  Anticipation.  Kicking the dust of the past year off your shoes and moving forward.  It's a milestone you know you get to hit every year.

This particular year is chock full of amazing possibilities.  My son is going to graduate from 8th grade and move on to high school.  My daughter is working hard to figure out what she loves more: cooking or sewing.  And I'm stepping out and pursuing my plan to buy and sell properties as a real estate agent, in addition to continuing to broker mortgages and financing.

It was another beautiful summer day in Riviera Village yesterday!

This is the time of year when the Village is always buzzing with people shopping, meeting for lunch, getting primped and pretty, grabbing a frozen yogurt or coffee and just taking it easy with friends.  Like other beach communities here in the South Bay, there's a lot to do, see and eat, and the Village is a great place to walk around, before or after you walk down to the beach to watch the sunset and the surf.

This is what the sun looked like as it said goodbye to August 6th last night.  Who wouldn't want to end the day with that?
